Project Spotlight | KingdomWar
The Reformers team loves to highlight projects in the space that are run by believers thinking outside the box and pioneering, and KingdomWar is a great example. It’s easy for projects to spin up in this space at lightning speed, copycats and derivatives becoming impossible to tell apart. The difference that Christian projects can bring in commitment to quality projects, ethical business practices and uplifting communities is going to clearly distinguish our work. KingdomWar is already proving themselves in this area and bringing Christian storytelling to whole new realms of blended media.
Gaming is evolving thanks to web3 and blockchain technology. Now there are games that can reward players with cryptocurrency that can be turned into spendable cash. Some studies report that there are around 3 billion active daily gamers. Similar to the film industry, there is a need for Christian, wholesome content in the gaming industry. Kingdom Warriors has sold two collections of NFTs totaling 2,222 tokens to fund the startup of a Christian media company that wants to bring a Narnia-like storyline that shares the gospel in a creative way. Bringing a focus on skillfully produced multimedia experiences, Kingdom Warriors is helping Christian music artists launch music as NFTs, some of which will be used in the game. They are also investigating possibilities for crossover properties, bringing their game storyline to bigger screens. Kingdom Warriors aims to release the first round of music NFTs in the next 1-2 months and their third collection of NFTs will be coming in the end of Q3 or Q4 of 2022. They are already in talks with screen writers and game developers making progress towards their goals. It is going to be very interesting to see projects like KingdomWar build experiential stories and integrate web3 tools, you might want to keep an eye on them in the future.
