Welcome back, Pilgrim! Here’s what’s happened in town since you’ve been away…
The bear market is upon us. Many are losing their hope in this space, not to mention losing the money they stockpiled during the Bull Run. But remember,
“we are God’s fellow workers… Let each one take care how he builds upon [the foundation]. For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”
~ 1 Corinthians 3:9-11
We are not here just to profit, but to build for the Kingdom. For the builders in this space, our supplies and material have just gone on sale! Let us use this opportunity to re-center on our true foundation which is Jesus, and go forth to make Disciples of the nations.

27 Red Candles: For some of us, this is our first crypto bear market. How might we learn from the bear market veterans and not repeat their mistakes by letting FUD pull us away from the still-real potential in this space? What is the author’s takeaway from the last bear market? Hold the course.
ETH Merge: The shift of ETH from proof-of-work (PoW) to proof-of-stake (PoS) is still moving along, however slowly. They have recently completed one major milestone in the transition launching on the “Ropsten testnet,” but delayed another milestone dubbed the “difficulty bomb.” The takeaway here is that ETH price is down ~70% (at the time of writing), but there is still terrific work being accomplished on this project! Number go down, work go up…
Lummis-Gillebrand Crypto Bill: Does regulation undercut the decentralized promises of the blockchain? Or does it signal greater acceptance and a better chance of making a real-world difference? DYOR, but many believe that this is a best case scenario to have a Bill drafted by a bi-partisan team of Senators from two very different yet crypto-friendly states. Listen to this interview with the Senators Gillibrand (D-NY) and Lummis (R-WY) as they discuss an overview of this Bill which is already making headlines.
The ENS Controversy: An enlightening piece by the Reformers’ own ConnorM in which he provides an overview of this controversy where a leader in the crypto space was let go because of an old Tweet. What do calls for decentralization count for when a leader is canceled for enumerating his Biblical beliefs?

The Longest Years of Ministry: Some words of encouragement to keep fighting the good fight. We all face our tough times, let us remember that the entire priesthood of believers is invited to find refreshment from the Living Water.
The Three Worlds of Evangelicalism Debate: A very helpful introduction and overview of Aaron Renn's "Positive-Neutral-Negative Christian Worldview” framework. As we seek to build Christ's Kingdom on earth, what resistance can we expect? How has society and its institutions shifted away from the Gospel? And in what ways does this framework fail to explain reality- remember “all models are wrong, but some are useful.”

“I'm definitely not advocating for camouflage tactics though. I think we have to be vocal about the values we want to see encoded into web3.”
~ ConnorM
“We cannot sit back like much of the body of Christ did 100 years ago as Hollywood was forming and growing in influence... They scoffed as the ungodly began to dominate the industry, when they should have been taking early positions of power and influence.”
